The Pastry Cupboard

After years working as the pastry chef at some of the Bay Area's great restaurants, Chef Chona Piumarta opened her own bakery, The Pastry Cupboard, in order to be free from restriction and create those desserts that meant something to her. All of her treats rely on high quality components, and often integrate the seasonal ingredients that grow abundantly in Northern California. A guiding principle behind all of Chona's dishes is that a great dessert is more than just sweet, and that like any exceptional savory dish, it should elevate the complexities of the ingredients within.
